How do I track a GLS Canada parcel?

Your GLS tracking number is usually under the barcode on the shipping label. It often has nine characters and sometimes starts with a letter. Enter it on the GLS Canada Track a shipment page.

Where to track your GLS Canada parcel

Enter the number on the GLS Canada Track a shipment page. Example: A11 222 333. For a MaxPak, remove the 1 at the start of the number.

Dicom has been part of GLS since August 30, 2018, according to GLS Canada’s company history.

Why isn’t my GLS tracking updating?

According to the GLS Canada FAQ, the status may not change if the parcel is waiting for pickup, a scan was missed, or it is not a business day: GLS doesn’t operate on weekends. Updates can take up to a day. While out for delivery, tracking sometimes shows the nearest terminal instead of your city.

To estimate delivery time, use the GLS transit time calculator.

Is your parcel late?

Check the number and confirm with the merchant that GLS picked up the parcel. Then reach the GLS Customer Experience team: 1-888-463-4266 or assistance@gls-canada.com, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern, Monday to Friday.

GLS tracking FAQ

What happens if I’m not home for the delivery?

The driver leaves a door notice so you can schedule a second delivery. For home deliveries, GLS doesn’t require a signature unless the shipper asks for one.

Can I pick up my parcel at a GLS terminal?

Yes, if it isn’t already out for delivery. Contact GLS to have it held, then bring the tracking number and a piece of ID.

GLS tracking says “delivered” but I never got my parcel. What should I do?

Contact GLS Canada. For a damaged or stolen parcel, go to the merchant instead: only the GLS account holder can file a claim.

Can I change the delivery address for a GLS parcel?

Yes, if the parcel hasn’t been delivered and the person who paid for the shipment, usually the merchant, authorizes it.

I got a text from GLS asking for payment. Is it a scam?

Be careful: GLS reports fake texts and emails using its name. It never asks recipients to pay for goods online; only customs duties and taxes apply to parcels from outside Canada. Report the message to itsecurity@gls-canada.com (GLS security advice).
